Blast Cleaning of Aluminum Brass Exchanger

Case: Aluminum Brass cooling water exchanger

192 tubes X 18feet long. 1 inch OD with 16 wall
Service: Hot service Brine/Cooling tower water on the ID was forming calcium scale on the tube walls.

Client: A Gulf Coast Refinery in the USA

Solution: Client unable to get tube ID clean enough with hydro blasting. Curran International was called in to perform patented grit blasting method.

Results: Curran crew was able to clean all tubes within one shift. Blast times on the tubes were 15 seconds per tube.
